Hotels · night desk

Your overnight front desk, without the overnight shift.

Aurora checks guests in and out, answers the phone and the lobby, sells tonight's empty rooms and handles requests from midnight to morning. The night manager hears about the leak, not the towels.

FAQ

AI night front desk for hotels: common questions

What is an AI night front desk for hotels?

It is an AI receptionist that runs your front desk overnight or after hours. Guests check in and out with a reservation token at a lobby kiosk or by phone, ask questions and make requests, and the night manager is alerted only for issues that need a person.

How do guests check in without staff?

Each reservation gets a 6-character token sent by email or text. The guest says the token at the kiosk or on the phone; Aurora verifies it, assigns a clean room, shows the door code on screen, charges the balance or incidentals hold through a secure QR code and texts the room details.

What if a guest loses the token?

The guest gives the confirmation number and last name. Aurora then re-sends the token only to the email or phone already on the reservation, never to a new contact.

Does it work with my property management system?

Aurora connects to property systems through their APIs to read reservations and post check-ins and charges. During setup we connect your PMS or import reservations on a schedule.

How much does an AI night desk cost?

Aurora Hotel Night Desk is $899 per month per property up to 150 rooms, with a one-time setup of $2,500. Kiosk hardware is optional and billed at cost.

Is it brand-standard compliant?

Brand standards differ by flag. Many independent and soft-branded hotels use it immediately; branded properties should confirm unattended-desk rules with their brand. Aurora can also run as a backup to a human clerk during peaks and breaks.

What about ID verification?

Aurora doesn't collect ID numbers by voice. You set the policy, for example showing a photo ID at the desk the next morning, and Aurora tells the guest at check-in.
